Masters Institute of Music gives beginning, intermediate and advanced students the tools and setting they need to succeed at playing the violin. We offer Northern New Jersey residents unparalleled programs taught by some of the world’s most accomplished violinists. Our music school provides a personalized violin curriculum that allows each budding or seasoned musician to discover their own reward sought through violin lessons.
Whether you want to learn to play beautiful music for yourself or perform as a soloist onstage in front of thousands, Masters helps you achieve your goal. Our students include those who are learning the basics of the violin and of music theory, and others who are training for competitions and music conservatories. Some perfect the violin in our and others attend Masters for private instruction.

Masters Institute of Music wants you to be the musician you’ve always dreamed of being. We employ a staff of experienced and engaged instructors, graduates from some of the finest music institutions, to provide private lessons for our violin students.
Our award-winning and internationally distinguished teachers work with children, teens and adults who want one-on-one instruction as they practice performance skills, develop an individual sense of style and work toward a college or career goal.

PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN
Many studies show the enormous benefit that playing the violin or another instrument has on children. In fact, just one year of musical training is said to make significant positive impacts on attention span and memory in kids. Children who play music also enjoy better overall health and mental function as well as stronger social skills and sensory development.
TEEN VIOLIN INSTRUCTION
You don’t have to start playing the violin as a child to find personal success. Anyone can learn to play and enjoy this melodic instrument. Many teens begin playing the violin as an emotional outlet and to find a sense of belonging with their peers. Violin instruction helps adolescents build skills that demonstrate a well-rounded character on college applications
ADULT CLASSES
Adults who play the violin enjoy reduced levels of stress, anxiety, depression and other mental health problems. Playing the violin is an excellent way to calm the mind and to enlarge one’s social circle. It improves posture, which is ideal for many older people who suffer from debilitating back and neck pain.
METHODS
At Masters Institute of Music, we believe that learning to play the violin or any instrument should be enjoyable. We work to create a perfectly balanced violin program that is efficient and fun.
To start violin instruction at Masters, we pair students with one of our faculty members who will perform an initial assessment to gauge skill and knowledge levels. Then, we tailor a program that meets the needs of the student, regardless of his or her skill level.
Masters’ instructors instill beginning-level violin students with confidence as they create a solid foundation of music theory, ear training, sight reading, rhythms, melodies and repertoire. All of our violin students receive instruction from teachers who are experts in their instruments and who have trained at world-glass facilities.

In addition to learning the basics of traditional violin instrumentation, we make room for fun. Our students explore the music they love including violin in contemporary popular music.
ARE YOU A SEASONED VIOLINIST?
Masters’ staff is comprised of professional violin instructors just for you. We offer our advanced, preparatory-school-bound and fellow professional musicians a place where they can hone their craft through private instruction, group performance, improvisation, soloing and competition.

TUITION
Violin instruction at Masters is offered in 30, 45 and 60-minute intervals. Tuition is due on the first day of each month and is charged through our monthly payment system. Monthly tuition starts at roughly $240 (4 lessons). We don’t require contracts. Masters is confident that our students will opt to continue training with us without being forced into a binding commitment.
